Geary’s was one of my first forays into craft brewing and over the years I’ve returned to them time and again when I find them available. No matter what the other breweries might experiment with and foist on an unsuspecting public, Geary’s keeps doing it right in my opinion. They just make good beer.
Geary’s Pale Ale announces itself with subtlety and a pronounced smoothness but finishes with a dry lingering kiss of hops that begs the question: why is it impossible to find in the Northeast?

Collies at Rest, for Now...

Collies Katie and Lucy, Smooth and Rough Coated, Sisters by circumstances (both rescue dogs), Jezebels by design. Mischevious together and apart.

A Word about Bieŕe Ameŕe

The purpose of this blog is basically to dump the thoughts in my head, especially ones that I don't have an outlet for elsewhere. (It will also serve as a link to reviews I post at epinions.com.) As such, the quality and quantity of postings will vary widely. At some point, I'll make more of an effort at regularity.

Want to Clean Up Wall Street? Call Tiny

White Collar criminals do not suffer enough retribution for their crimes against America’s financial security. In order to clean up Wall Street and the banking industry, I believe it is imperative to institute the death penalty for financial crimes. Seriously, what else is going to change these guys’ behavior?

At the very least, we should be able to put these guys’ balls in a vise and let everybody have a turn twisting the handle. If the government charges a fee, I’d pay it.

America has lost its capability to improve business behavior and ethical conduct through the public sphere of shame and humilation. That has to be restored somehow.

Men fear about ten things in life (order may vary):

(10) Job loss
(9) Divorce (wife and kids)
(8) Diapers, housework
(7) Erectile dysfunction or micro penis
(6) Punch in the face
(5) Baldness
(4) Getting cracked in the nuts
(3) Guys named Tiny
(2) Financial ruin
(1) Buggery (uninvited)

The Obama administration should look into incorporating any of the above fears into the Criminal Code as it relates to White Collar Crime especially. If the Wall Street and Banking Wizards knew that a guy named Tiny would be in their future, they’d think twice.
